Inter-Library Loan (ILL)

If you would like to request a book that Easley Library does not have, you may use our Inter-library Loan service.

 

Find It Virginia

If you hold a Virginia public library card from anywhere in the state, you can access a number of excellent databases from Find it Virginia.  Just choose your public library and enter your public library barcode number. You'll have access to databases such as Business and Company Resource Center, Expanded Academic Index, SIRS, Health Resource Center, General Reference Center, and others. Public library cards generally are free so it would be to your advantage to visit your local library to get a card!

    • Bridgewater College (Bridgewater, VA)

      Community card is issued to members of the local community.

    • Central Virginia Community College (Lynchburg, VA)

      Community borrowers over the age of 18. Show proof of residence and current address.

    • Clinch Valley College (University of Virginia College at Wise) (Wise, VA)

      Community members may obtain a card.

    • Danville Community College (Danville, VA)

      You must be at least 15 years old. Present Virginia driver's license.

    • Eastern Mennonite University (Harrisonburg, VA)

      Community borrowers cards are issued to members of the community.

    • Eastern Shore Community College (Melfa, VA)

      Community members may register for library cards. Virginia driver's license required.

    • Ferrum College (Ferrum, VA)

      Cards issued to the Ferrum County Community.

    • Hampden-Sydney College (Hampden-Sydney, VA)

      Patrons from outside the campus may borrow books for 1 month if they have valid Virginia driver's license.

    • Hollins University (Roanoke, VA)

      Borrower's cards for guest patrons and area residents.

    • Library of Virginia (State Library of Virginia) (Richmond, VA)

      All patrons visiting the Library of Virginia must register for a library card to use books from the closed stacks. Residents of Virginia aged 18 years and over may borrow library materials. Virginia driver's license, proof of residence, and current address are required.

    • Longwood College, (Farmville, VA)

      Present a current Virginia driver's license to obtain a library card.

    • Marymount University (Arlington, VA)

      Borrowing privileges for local northern Virginia residents.

    • Mountain Empire Community College (Big Stone Gap, VA)

      Local residents with valid Virginia driver's license.

    • New River Community College (Dublin, VA)

      Equipment & materials available for general public for non-profit use.

    • Norfolk State University (Norfolk, VA)

      Cards available for the community-at-large.

    • Northern Virginia Community College -- Alexandria Campus (Alexandria, VA)

      Users from northern Virginia community have limited checkout privileges.

    • Northern Virginia Community College -- Annandale Campus (Annandale, VA)

      Community patrons with northern Virginia address and current Virginia driver's license.

    • Northern Virginia Community College -- Loudoun Campus (Loudoun, VA)

      Anyone over the age of sixteen. Community patron card with Virginia driver's license and application.

    • Northern Virginia Community College -- Manassas Campus (Manassas, VA)

      Community patron may borrow. Show current Virginia driver's license.

    • Northern Virginia Community College -- Woodbridge Campus (Woodbridge, VA)

      Users within the college's service area may obtain user's card.

    • Piedmont Virginia Community College (Charlottesville, VA)

      Community members who show current Virginia driver's license.

    • Thomas Nelson Community College (Hampton, VA)

      Community cards for residents of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, Williamsburg, James City County, and York County who are 18 years or older. Need Virginia driver's license and proof of address.

    • Tidewater Community College (Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, VA)

      Public is allowed to use the library. Check with the library for specific policies.

    • University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA)

      Virginia residents (present current Virginia driver's license) and Faculty/students at other Virginia institutions of higher education (present Bluefield College identification card)

    • Virginia Highlands Community College (Abingdon, VA)

      Community patrons are issued library cards at no charge for first card.

    • Virginia Western Community College (Roanoke, VA)

      Borrowers not enrolled at VWCC are classed as "nonstudents" and are limited to four items in circulation at any given time.

    • Virginia Military Institute (Lexington, VA)

      Residents of Rockbridge County may obtain a library card.

    • Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, VA)

      Virginia residents: adults with Virginia driver's license and in-state address and phone number. Virginia college students: current identification card from another college or university in Virginia (public or private), even if not a Virginia resident.

    • Virginia State University (Petersburg, VA)

      Individuals residing in areas of Ettrick, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Fort Lee, Hopewell, Matoaca, Petersburg, Chester and Prince George are eligible for a community card by presenting Virginia driver's license and public library card from place of residence or active military card i.d. from Fort Lee.

    • Washington and Lee University (Lexington, VA)

      Area residents (Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County) with Virginia driver's license.

  • Libraries that offer community borrowing privileges with yearly charges.

    • George Mason University (Fairfax, VA)

      Members of "Friends of the Library" can obtain borrower's privileges.

    • Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA)

      Community patron cards may be purchased for $25.00 per year.

    • Regent University (Virginia Beach, VA)

      Members of the 700 Club qualify for borrowing privileges.

    • Sweet Briar College (Sweet Briar, VA)

      Residents of Campbell, Amherst, and Nelson Counties who are members of the "Friends of the Library" ($25.00 for regular membership)

    • University of Richmond (Richmond, VA)

      Community card available for $30.00 per year.

    • Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA)

      Individual community card issued for $25.00 per year.

    • Virginia Wesleyan College (Norfolk & Virginia Beach, VA)
