Note about Off-Campus Access  To access databases and NetLibrary electronic books, make a note of the titles you are looking for and then go to the 'Off-Campus Access" link on the library homepage under "Find Articles."  Click on "Databases by Title."  Click on the database you need or NetLibrary.  You will then need to enter your name and barcode number from your student I.D. card to gain access.  Greenwood Press ebooks are only available from on campus.

Find Articles / Use indexes/databases to find articles, abstracts or citations from journals.

Electronic Indexes  available through Easley Library:
  • Arts and Humanities Search (Citation Index) / This is an Index only (no full text) to subjects in the humanities, including philosophy.  Use this to locate titles of articles which then can be searched in a full-text database or ordered through interlibrary loan. 
  • Expanded Academic Index ASAP / Do a keyword search for abstracts and full-text articles.  You can also do a publication search to see what philosophy journals are indexed.
  • JSTOR / Browse publications by topic or search for articles by keyword.  These are not current articles, but are an archive of articles with varying coverage dates.  Many philosopher journals.
  • Lexis-Nexis / Look for news articles on more modern topics related to philosophy.
