SUPERTUTOR
After logging in as Supertutor, you will see a page with all of the submitted essays that have not been assigned to tutors.
To assign essays:
Simply select a tutor from the dropdown box and click the assign button to the right. The dropdown lists all tutors that have accounts on the system.
To view completed essays:

User Management:
This is where accounts will be created. Supertutors can create all accounts except Administrator accounts. Admin accounts will not even be displayed on the Supertutor user management page. Like the Appalachian Trail site, if you create a username for different user types (i.e. supertutor, faculty, and tutor), you will need to ensure that your username is different for each account you create.
Class Management:
This is where you can add, edit, or delete the class listing that appears in the dropdown box on the Submit Essay page. This allows students to select courses whose titles are exactly the same providing much more accurate reporting for you and the faculty members.
Faculty Management:
This is where you can add, edit, or delete the faculty listing that appears in the dropdown box on the Submit Essay page. This allows students to select the faculty member teaching their course. Since the names will be stored exactly the same, much more accurate reporting will be provided for you and the faculty members.
Help Code Management:
This is where you can add, edit, or delete the help code listing that appears in the dropdown box on the Submit Essay page as well as for the Tutors. This allows students and tutors to select the appropriate help codes and store them properly in the database. Since the names will be stored exactly the same, much more accurate reporting will be provided for you and the faculty members.
Department Management:
This is where you can add, edit, or delete the department listing that is linked to the majors appearing in the dropdown box on the Submit Essay page. This allows the departments and majors to be stored properly in the database. Since the names will be stored exactly the same, much more accurate reporting will be provided for you and the faculty members.
Major Management:
This is where you can add, edit, or delete the major listing that appears in the dropdown box on the Submit Essay page. This allows the departments and majors to be stored properly in the database. Since the names will be stored exactly the same, much more accurate reporting will be provided for you and the faculty members.
Reports:
This is where you can view any of the 12 various reports on the COWL system. Each report except ‘Average Response Time’ will allow you to put in a set of dates so that you can run your reports on specific periods of time. ALWAYS use the Calendar Icon to put in your dates. The database only accepts dates in the format of yyyy-mm-dd. Average Response Time is an ongoing calculation.
