Using COWL in your Class

MOOVING WRITING INTO THE CLASSROOM

COWL can be a powerful teaching aid. Below are just a few of the ways this site can support your efforts to make better thinkers and writers out of your students. The Writing Center offers many of the same services and resources.

COWL can:

provide you with resources for using writing in your class. Continue browsing this page for piles of valuable, easy-to-use information from assignment design to handling the paper load.

provide feedback on your formal and informal writing assignments. Simply submit your assignment along with a description of the type of assistance you would like to receive to mpellillo@bluefield.edu.

give your students access to tutoring on drafts of formal papers. Check out our Essay Submission Form. Consider encouraging all students and requiring your weak writers to seek help with their assignments through COWL or our traditional writing center services.
